LIP reinterprets its iconic BIG TV designed by Roger Tallon in a retro-futuristic way, in an entirely titanium version with an integrated bracelet.A historic collectionIn 1974, LIP called on 7 designers from outside the watch industry to breathe new life into the brand’s collections after the social events of 1973. It was in the collection presented in 1975 that the brand’s revival truly exploded, and incredibly innovative models were presented. Inspired by the work done on the Portavia 111 portable television, Roger TALLON designs the TV and BIG TV. Inside this square case comes a round-shaped dial for a perfect reading of the time. Completely reworked in 2023, the BIG TV case is integrated into an all-titanium set and becomes the BIG TV TITANE.The LIP BIG TV Titanium in detailThe BIG TV Titanium offers as its name suggests, of a titanium case of 35 x 35 mm in diameter, waterproof to 50 meters with a fully brushed finish. Its case is inspired by the model of the time, with the difference that today, the watch is dressed with a titanium bracelet and no longer leather. Precisely, we will note that the design of this bracelet, is particularly well integrated into the case in a spirit faithful to the design of the watch, which proves to be as beautiful as comfortable to wear. This version is offered with a matte black dial, with white indexes and hands with luminova finish. This allows for a strong contrast and easy time reading. This dial is topped with a sapphire crystal that has undergone an anti-reflective treatment. A Japanese Miyota 8S20 automatic movement You will have the pleasure of admiring the movement that drives this LIP through its transparent case back. It is the Miyota 8S20 caliber, which drives three hands. Featuring 21 jewels, this movement oscillates at 21600 vibrations per hour and offers a power reserve of 40 hours.
