A certain Willy BREITLING is contacted by an American association, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, AOPA) to create a chronograph. The latter decided to develop a real instrument that could be worn directly on the wrist in order to allow pilots to make their calculations at a glance, a real advance for the time. Three silver sub-counters adorn the dial in the same colour and a white bidirectional bezel with a slide rule.
